Yes Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday. Hope everyone enjoyed thanksgiving. We kept things very low key, we both worked and before just went to whole foods got hot bar thought of Nicko and ate some turkey and tofu respectively. Right now we are in palm springs celebrating Anastasia’s birthday. Thinking of Dad too. I’m sure he would like Palm Springs it has a bit of a Chicago gangster hideaway vibe to it.
When I was 22, Nick was 32? Dad was 56? Things have changed a lot but this is still a pretty awesome memory. Our Father (RIP) took Paul Wendell Obis, Nick Obis and I to Vegas. I’m pretty sure we just got out of The Beatles Love, Cirque du Soleil where we all teared up and got emotional together. A very fond memory.
Thank you for continuing his legacy it’s brave of you to do that and if you didn’t I don’t know who would! I mean we all love him but I don’t think any of the brothers or myself have the wherewithal or the ambition that you have.
I know he’s smiling down at you for that and I agree with you that he let a really great life and did a lot of good for the world so he deserves to have a legacy besides the legacy of the relationship he had with his sons.

Brad from Project Angel Food was saying how much good dad did for the world
I told him he was one of the most compassionate and kind and open minded people I’ve ever known
Every time we get together as a family we reminisced about funny dad isms and whatnot.
