Young Entrepreneur

Comments6 Comments

Paul was quite the entrepreneur in grade school. He sold combs and 4 colored ink pens to his various clientele. He rented 2 gum ball machines at a local venue and sold gum balls. He made deliveries for the pharmacy.

He was also a boy scout where he learned his love for nature and doing “good” for other people with manners and grace.

He did not like just watching television but living in the real and outside world. The world enlightened him to a great understanding of people and circumstances.

  1. neighbor in Melrose Park says:

Paul played a trombone in a marching band in junior high. Whenever he practiced, his dog, Pudgy, would howl so he did not practice. Thus, when he marched – he pretended to play. He did not want his dog to be uncomfortable or irritated. He was very sweet natured.

Omg. You really gave me and others some very sad news today. I haven’t seen either Johan or Paul in 50 years yet both they very big part of my life in our teen years. Thanks for letting me know though I wish I didn’t. Take care

Paul had a juke box in his basement and every day we would go down there and play the latest hits of the 50’s He knew the words to the songs of Bobby Darin, Elvis, Dion, Sa, Cooke,Ricky Nelson etc.. He would come walking onto school every day sining some pop song and had the words memorized perfectly. His wife Janeen said that sometimes he would walk in the back door singing one of those 50 tunes and never missed a word. I should have know ten that he was creative and unique.
